Riding the Trike

by Christopher on June 10, 2009

Evan’s trike came in today!  Of course I got some pictures!  Evan was not very happy sharing it with Allie or Reilly, in fact he wasn’t even to happy when we put it in the car to head home.  I think he liked it!  He doesn’t seem to have enough leg strength or confidence to peddle on his own, but I don’t think it will be long.  He did move along a bit just by doing flintstone style.

First Trike

by Christopher on June 2, 2009

I am so excited, I just ordered Evan a Schwinn Tricycle.  I can’t wait for it to show up, I looked online to find any local store that carried it and no one has it locally.  I can’t wait for it to arrive, I am sure Evan will have a blast.  Although we did try a Radio Flyer Trike in a few stores and Evan didn’t seem to be too into it.  Picture and videos will follow when I have them.

Build a Dog

by Christopher on April 10, 2009

Kristen gave me a Build-A-Bear workshop gift certificate and I took Evan today.  I let Evan choose what he wanted to build and he went with the Black Lab.  I was trying to persaude him into the turtle because I knew Jean would love it, it had a shell as a backpack.   The event went really quick, we picked out audio chip (barking); although I wanted to go with the cat moew just to be unique.   Later on I realized you could have put multiple sound chips in if you paid for them, would have been funny to have a cat, dog, elephant, and something else, one in each leg.   Perhaps next time I can do that.

The second picture is Evan watching the rep fill him up with stuffing, he wanted nothing to do with stepping on the pedal to fill it up.  Although he did help put the heart in, granted he wanted to put it on the dogs head.   When it came to naming him, Evan was  really set on just calling him “dog”.

Thanks Kristin!

Clear for landing on runway 80

by Christopher on January 3, 2009

Evan has been having fun with my Xbox 360 headset all day until he broke it.  Down one controller and one headset, luckily I don’t use it often.
